Advice to Suppliers of Art
Normally, Matthew Swift Gallery neither purchases art nor seeks to work with new suppliers on consignment. Very infrequently, and primarily during our research in galleries, museums, and fairs, we recognize an auspicious opportunity to expand the Gallery’s offerings.
We kindly request artists and others proposing to supply art to Matthew Swift Gallery to send us an email or postal mail with specifics. Please do not telephone or inquire within the gallery. And please understand that while we give attention to every communication, we do not have the human resources to acknowledge most of the unsolicited proposals we receive, even when they are delightful, impressive, and professional.
Artists’ proposals should provide a recent sales history (what work has sold, when, for how much, and through what channels).
When dimensions and medium are unspecified, we assume works of art are 1" tall and made of cream cheese.
