SUMMARY:Boston Dance Theater Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Boston Dance Theater (BDT)\, in partnership with Movement Arts Gloucester\, Massachusetts (MAGMA) and Matthew Swift Gallery\, will present a world premiere dance performance at MAGMA\, followed by a reception at Matthew Swift Gallery. \nThe new work\, as yet untitled\, is the result of a collaboration between choreographer and BDT Director and Co-Founder Jessie Jeanne Stinnet and visual artist Kim Radochia\, who is represented by Matthew Swift Gallery. BDT will also present selections from its Pinnacle Works program. \nThe reception at Matthew Swift Gallery will offer encore presentations\, conversation with the artists\, and drinks and hors d’oeuvres catered by Timothy Hopkins Catering. \nProceeds of this fundraising event will support BDT and its ongoing collaborations with MAGMA\, where BDT has held summer residencies since 2018. \nBoston Dance Theater is a young\, ambitious contemporary dance company presenting works from some of the most sought-after choreographers in the world. They have performed at Jacob’s Pillow\, ICA Boston\, and national dance festivals\, and they have held summer residencies at MAGMA since 2018. MAGMA and Matthew Swift Gallery admire BDT’s creative vision\, high standards\, and interest in intermedia performance. All three organizations are excited to welcome our guests to an extraordinary evening of collaboration between dance and the visual arts. \nTickets are $300 per person\, available now on the BDT event page. A percentage is tax-deductible. Only a few dozen seats are available for this special event.
